My Load Is Lighter
1. For days I had carried a burden too heavy
I felt myself falling, my faith almost gone
But then I remembered God’s holy scripture
Casting all of my cares on Him for He careth for me
Chorus. Now my load is lighter since I cast my burden
At the feet of Jesus and I left them there
All my troubles vanished when my burdens I surrendered
Yes my load is lighter since I gave them all to Jesus
2. My friend are you burdened, your load is too heavy
The darkness has fallen, your strength’s is almost gone
Just remember He’ll never leave or forsake you
So hold on to Jesus and He’ll bear your burdens for you
