At His Table

Independence Day

July 4th is when we commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. We became a self-governing nation with our full dependence on God. Today Bro. David encourages us to celebrate our freedom and more importantly, the liberty that Jesus gave to us at Calvary!

Eagle’s Strength

When a storm approaches, the eagle's reaction is much different from all other birds. While other feathered creatures will flee or hide, the eagle instinctively knows that just above the storm is security and the perfect hiding place. Today, Sis. Diana explains the struggle that every eagle will face in its life and the decision that must be made to live or die!

Man of Faith

Happy Father's Day, everyone! Today, Richard shares some stories that inspired the song "Man of Faith." From childhood memories to his Dad's twelve-year struggle with rheumatoid arthritis, there are so many reasons why he identifies his father as a man of faith.

Crucified With Christ

Jesus said that we must take up our cross and follow Him. In today's devotion, Sandy reminds us that our will and ambitions must be put to death. Only then can we declare, "I am crucified with Christ nevertheless, I live!"

Timing

Out on the stormy Sea of Galilee, the disciples must have felt that Jesus had failed to come to them in time. As Christians, we can also feel much the same way. But today, Sis. Rita reminds us that the Lord is always right on time!

Where Are You Looking?

When the children of Israel had been delivered from the cruel bondage of Egypt and were on their way to the Promised Land, they didn't get there as quickly as they expected. In frustration, they got their eyes off of the Lord and began looking back toward Egypt. Today, Bro. David encourages us to keep our eyes on the Lord because He has promised to supply all of our needs.

Fruitful In Affliction

When Joseph became second-in-command over Egypt, he chose symbolic names for his two sons. Manasseh meant "forgetfulness" and Ephraim meant "doubly blessed." Joseph chose to forgive and forget his years of hardship and the Lord blessed him abundantly. Today, Sis. Diana encourages us to follow Joseph's example and God will make us fruitful in our affliction!

Surviving A Stall

Proverbs 16:8 tells us that pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. In today's devotion, Richard shares a personal aviation story that illustrates this very concept. The only way to survive a spiritual stall is through the power of humility.
