At His Table

What’s Draining You?

Do you often feel mentally exhausted and spiritually drained? Sometimes we need the Lord to enlighten our eyes so we can go to the root of the problem. After we’ve addressed the issue in prayer, we can overflow with joy and victory once again!

The Power Of Words

The words that we speak have the power to encourage someone in their situation. Words also have the power to bring someone down into a place of utter despair. In this devotion, Bro. David shares two stories that illustrate the great power of our words.

Heaven

With all the turmoil around us, Sis. Rita instructs us to keep Heaven in the forefront of our hearts and minds, lest the we forget what awaits the people of God and lose hope. What a blessed day it will be, when we enter that great eternal land of no more curse, sorrow or pain! Scripture Reading: Luke 21:26-28

Don’t Forfeit Your Peace

In this devotion, Sis Diana speaks to us of a stanza in the hymn, “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”. May the powerful lyrics of this song strengthen our resolve to not forfeit the peace that is promised to us as children of God. Scripture Reading: Isaiah 26:3

Spiritual Amnesia

Today, Richard shares a story about a woman who’s memory is constantly erased due to Anterograde Amnesia. We then look at how spiritual amnesia can affect us as Christians. May we every be mindful of God’s goodness! Scripture Reading: Exodus 15:1, Exodus 15:22-24, Exodus 16:3

You Won’t Leave Here Like You Came

In the book of Ezekiel, we find some specific instructions for the Jews to exit the temple at a different place than where they came in. This should be our prayer today as we exit our sanctuaries and our prayer closets. “Lord, don’t let me leave the way I came!” Scripture reading: Ezekiel 46:9 Background music from “100 Piano Hymns by Gerald Wolfe.” © Daywind Records. God Is Working

Sometimes it seems that we will never receive the answer to our prayers. But today, Bro. David encourages us that God is working behind the scenes in ways that we cannot see. I Love That Man

Sister Rita tells the story of a sweet little boy and his expression of love for his Dad. She then turns the story line towards our Lord Jesus Christ. May you be drawn closer to Jesus, so that in all things you will say, I love that Man! Scripture Reading: John 2:12-17 and Luke 14:26
